affiliations...we value our friends...

The body of Christ is big, really, really big.  It's global, even.  To connect with a world of Christians, we make local affiliations beyond our own denominational tradition and then work together to reach the world.

Our hope is that we can come together with various traditions of Jesus' followers to encourage, challenge, and care for one another because of those differences.  We have treasures to share with each other.

As Paul wrote,

"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit–just as you were called to one hope when you were called– one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
The more the merrier.

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good....But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
I Corinthians 12

Our hope is that we can bring together various traditions of Jesus' followers who can encourage, challenge, and care for one another because of those differences.  We have treasures to share with each other.  already we have conversations going with at least five denominations about sharing ministry together.

As Paul wrote,
"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit–just as you were called to one hope when you were called– one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
